OptiQ AI™ is HFCL's unified brand for its optical connectivity portfolio serving AI, cloud and hyperscale data centres. Launched in July 2026, it brings together HFCL's established data centre offerings, optical fibers, Intermittently Bonded Ribbon (IBR) cables, fiber cable assemblies, patch cords, pigtails, trunks, and high-density cassettes and enclosure panels, under a single framework built for next-generation AI networks. Rather than selecting individual products from separate lines, customers engage with one integrated connectivity ecosystem, one set of quality standards, and one accountable partner across the entire physical layer.
Pre-terminated VSFF assemblies simplify pathway routing and eliminate complex field terminations, sharply reducing installation and commissioning time. HFCL's VSFF assemblies are backed by US Conec MMC-CERT and SENKO VSFF certifications, which verify factory termination standards across both connector ecosystems, giving hyperscale, AI and multitenant operators the confidence to scale fiber infrastructure rapidly and reliably.
AI data center cabling is the optical fiber infrastructure connecting GPUs, servers, switches and storage inside AI clusters. Unlike traditional data centre cabling, it must handle massive east-west traffic between servers, extreme fiber density per rack, and 400G/800G speeds. It typically combines high-fiber-count trunk cables, MPO/MTP pre-terminated assemblies, and high-density patch panels, the architecture HFCL's OptiQ AI™ portfolio is built around.
MPO is the generic multi-fiber push-on connector standard (IEC 61754-7); MTP® is US Conec's enhanced version with tighter tolerances and improved ferrule geometry for lower insertion loss. Both are interchangeable. In AI data centres, MPO/MTP connectors are the backbone of high-density connectivity, terminating 8, 12 or 24 fibers in one connector, as used across OptiQ AI™ trunks, cassettes and assemblies.
