HFCL set up its most advanced optic fibre cable plant at Verna
electronic city, Goa in 1996. This state-of-the-art, ISO 9001
accredited facility has a manufacturing capacity of 0. 3 million
fibre kilometers of OF cable. It is a state of the art plant
of its kind from Swisscab of Switzerland with the machines having
computerized process control systems based on simatic S5 PLC's
from Siemens. The plant ensures optimum capacity utilization,
minimum wastage and maximum throughput with built-in parameters
and quality control measures.
A variety of cable constructions can be manufactured and customized
according to the customers needs, some of them being:
- Loose tube cable upto 96 fibres
- Uni tube cable (max. fibre count 12)
- ADSS Aerial cable
- Metallic self supporting aerial cable
- Corrugated steel tape armoured cable
- Wire armoured cable
- Simplex / Duplex cable
- Cord cable
- Terminated quick deployable cable with hermaphroditic connectors
- Terminated cord cables / Pigtails with user specified connectors
These products are backed by a strong R&D, which
has kept HFCL way ahead of its competitors. The Center of excellence
for R&D works closely with customers from the early stages of
product development. All research innovations conform to International
Standards like ITU, ETSI, IEC, TIA and EIA. The certification
for design, manufacturing and supply of OFC by NQA and accreditation
by DCC Holland bears testimony to the superior manufacturing
process. The R&D facility at Goa is recognized by Department
of Science & Technology, Government of India.
